Parent Reminders

  • There are monthly parent meetings held in the lunchroom. These meetings keep you up-to-date on everything taking place at SCCHS including events, holidays, early dismissals, field trips, and more.
  • Be mindful of the parent dress code. Keep in mind that you are around other people's children, whether that is at the bus stop, or on campus. Refer to the parent handbook for any questions.
  • Pay attention to items sent home in homework folders. There are certain items that are for you to keep, and others for you to fill out and return.
  • Watch for children when driving through the parking lot. The parking lot speed limit is 5 MPH. If you are walking with your child, make sure to hold their hand at all times.
  • Buses DO NOT run on Pre-K only days
  • Pay attention to the SCCHS Facebook page for alerts on school closings, early dismissals, and more.
  • We ask that each parent make an effort to be involved in their child's education. Parents are welcome in the classroom at any time. Keep in mind that your volunteer hours (attending events, volunteering, helping in the classroom, etc.) help with our funding and allow us to operate.
  • We highly encourage our SCCHS fathers and male role models to be active in the program. Positive father engagement is linked to lower levels of impulsivity, higher ratings of self-control, and higher achievement levels in reading and math (The Fatherhood Project).
